Job Summary

TITLE: One to One Nurse QUALIFICATIONS and EDUCATION: BSN from an accredited school /program Current license as a Registered Nurse by the RI Department of Health Documented experience as a Nurse; (Pediatric experience preferred) Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification REPORTS TO: Building Principal Director of Pupil Personnel and RI Department of Health JOB GOAL: Provide nursing support to a medically fragile student throughout the school day and during transport to and from school. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Support to include but not limited to: Seizure precautions (Myoclonic seizures) G-tube monitoring Cueing on task Transitioning Navigation Safety and Independence Drill and Practice Adaptive equipment Assistive technology Carryover of educational and therapy goals Assist the classroom teacher and special education teacher with educational instruction for the studentRiding the school bus to and from schoolWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
