So2 Optimisation

Subject to formal establishment a vacancy will arise for a OF3 to serve as SO2 OPTIMISATION at Gosport on FTRS LC Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 01 June 2026.

Unit Function: Support operational effectiveness through delivering reliable trusted and efficient services to the Regular Reservist and Veteran communities.

Position Role: Work in support of the SO1 focal point for optimisation of digital military HR processes within AFVS; responsible for prioritising and delivering projects in line with wider Defence plans.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Delivery Working with the SO1 lead on digital business change activity working with AFVS Optimisation DBS Automation Garage the SSCL Digital Team and other development teams to support delivery of digital products.

Stakeholder Management Identify manage and support stakeholders maintain communications and provide focal point for feedback for all AFVS military optimisation projects and products.

Change Products Provide input into the creation of required business change products. Support the engagement of relevant business/end users during this process.

Change Planning Support and provide insight to the AFVS Optimisation DBS Automation Garage the SSCL Digital Team and other development teams in preparing digitised products and implementing automation.

Change Planning Support the transition to an Agile development and delivery model.

Change Communication Provide input and support for communications regarding Optimisation activities.

Champion the use of best practice for product development providing expert advice for team members in AFVS Sub Portfolio and Optimisation and the wider DBS community.

Champion innovation and continuous improvement in the military aspects of AFVS product development and service delivery.
