We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly effective Primary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join us from August 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Primary School delivering high-quality PE lessons and inspiring students across the primary years to develop a love of sport physical activity and healthy lifestyles. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engaging well-structured lessons that develop students physical skills teamwork confidence and overall wellbeing.
You will create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation resilience and enjoyment of sport. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and deliver high-quality engaging Physical Education lessons aligned with the primary curriculum ensuring progression in students physical development and skills.
- Create a positive inclusive and active learning environment that encourages participation and promotes healthy lifestyles.
- Assess monitor and record student progress in physical skills and development.
- Promote teamwork sportsmanship resilience and confidence through sport and physical activity.
- Support and contribute to school sports events competitions and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to whole-school initiatives and events.
- Contribute to the pastoral life of the school promoting student wellbeing and positive behaviour.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A recognised teaching qualification with experience teaching Physical Education in Primary School.
- Strong knowledge of physical education sport and child physical development.
- A high level of English proficiency with excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive participation in sport.
- A collaborative and proactive approach with a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school including sports programmes and extracurricular activities.
