Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center Cole Engineering Center Warren MI three times per week at minimum.

Each successful candidate will be offered a hybrid role at a specific location. Candidate location preferences are considered but cannot be guaranteed.

What Youll Do:

At General Motors we do not just build vehicles; we build the future of mobility. This opportunity is a part of GMs Exploring Careers through Experiential Learning (EXCEL). EXCEL is a co-op and internship program for engineering business and supply chain college students to build foundational skills and greater exposure and understanding of our business. EXCEL aims to develop and strengthen the future of our organization through co-op development assignments networking and annual development opportunities. This program requires a four-five year commitment and consists of 8 three-month assignments. Upon completion of the program participants are matched to opportunities based on interest and business needs. This position will be located primarily in Warren MI however you may be assigned to other GM locations (i.e. manufacturing plants).

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree at Kettering University in Business Administration and Management Industrial Engineering Supply Chain Management or Computer Science w/Data-Analytics focus

Must be graduating June 2028 or later

Enrolled in a co-op program at Kettering university

Currently in A-Section

Demonstrates leadership in field of study extra-curricular activities or service organizations

Outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization as needed

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audience

Emerging partnership and collaboration skills and ability to learn from and share knowledge with co-workers in a fast-paced environment

High level of integrity ability to deal with ambiguity take initiative/self-directed

Consistently demonstrates innovative thinking that is customer-centric

Compensation:

GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2026 Student Program.
