In recent years DTU Management has rapidly expanded to become a leading research-oriented unit in Denmark achieving international recognition in the fields of environmental climate and energy economics. Responsibilities and qualifications
Applicants should hold a doctoral degree (or be near completion of the doctorate) in economics and will be reviewed based on their research and other activities in the scientific community.

The position is linked to a project focusing on acceptance and preferences for CCS on the Faroe Islands led by Professor Jacob Ladenburg and in collaboration with a larger international group of partners.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and conducting a survey on the demand for and acceptance of CCS through mineralisation in the Faroe Islands. The candidate will also be responsible for analysing the data and writing a research article.

As a formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Eligible candidates will have:

  • A PhD in Environmental and Energy Economics with a focus on Stated Preference methods applied to CCS including spatially driven demand and acceptance.
  • Published papers and/or PhD thesis with the above-mentioned CCS focus.
  • A proven record of developing and conducting stated preference CCS surveys
  • Additionally the candidates ability and willingness to collaborate effectively with the project team will be considered in our assessment.

The position provides support for travel expenses. We are committed to offering the opportunity to conduct independent research. Beyond research the successful candidate will be expected to participate in community activities including workshops and seminars.

The candidate will join a dedicated research team focused on consumer sustainable behaviour with a strong emphasis on high-quality research and outreach.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

The period of employment is 2 years starting on the 1 May 2026 or according to mutual agreement.
