Job Summary
What You Will Be Doing
- Perform advanced preventive predictive and reactive maintenance on CNC machines and related production equipment
- Diagnose and repair complex electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic system issues
- Independently troubleshoot servo alarms spindle issues and machine positioning problems
- Troubleshoot CNC controls drives motors and motion systems to restore equipment functionality and minimize downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics hydraulic diagrams and mechanical drawings to diagnose equipment failures
- Support maintenance and reliability initiatives by identifying recurring issues and recommending corrective actions
- Perform equipment rebuilds alignment adjustments and mechanical repairs to maintain machine accuracy and performance
- Assist with machine installations upgrades and equipment modifications
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance technicians during complex troubleshooting or repair efforts
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities repairs and parts usage
- Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout procedures safety standards and company policies
- Maintain tools parts and work areas in a clean organized and safe condition
- Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient maintenance operations
What You Bring to the Table
- Minimum 5 years of CNC maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CNC machine diagnostics and advanced troubleshooting
- Experience troubleshooting servo systems drives and motion control components
- Experience working with Fanuc Heidenhain Haas or similar CNC control systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics hydraulic diagrams and mechanical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience performing maintenance on high-precision CNC machining centers
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with maintenance and production teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with 5-axis machining centers or complex CNC production equipment
- Basic PLC troubleshooting experience
- Experience with machine geometry alignment and spindle systems
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
- Technical certification apprenticeship or associate degree in a related field is preferred
