Life Cycle Engineering is the department to provide new product safety and reliability analyses influence new product design with service experience and provide in-service technical support to ensure safe reliable and cost-effective operation within the accountability of the respective Chief Engineer.

If youre interested to enhance technical skills (life cycle modelling) develop a stronger cost focus (business acumen) interface with our internal customers and have a direct impact in our company (influence the business with engineering insights to reconcile engineering constraints and business requirements).

Key Responsibilities:

  • For in service & NPI products coordinate with customers suppliers regulatory authority maintenance facilities and internal stakeholders on reliability maturity and life cycle cost matters
  • Develop and deploy statistical models to perform product maturity reliability and life cycle cost analysis
  • Extract actionable insights from available data using statistics data mining and database techniques in order to quantify/understand fleet experience system performance and asset reliability
  • Perform life cycle cost analyses and trade studies to quantify the impact of changes in design maintenance practices or operational procedures and actively influence the sales campaign of new engines
  • Generate asset reliability availability and performance improvement proposals based on these insights (e.g. diagnosis and prognosis based on equipment health monitoring data)
  • Produce service knowledge and share internally using and improving the dedicated processes and systems
  • Having the opportunity to progress through Engineering and non-Engineering business areas

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering Mathematics / Statistics Physics or related field
  • Preferable experience in statistical in-service/life data analysis methods (e.g. System Reliability Analysis Weibull & other parametric distributions Monte Carlo Simulations)
  • Proven ability to apply logical analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems. Proven ability to handle ambiguity
  • Experience in computer science data mining and machine learning techniques will be positively valued
