What Youll Build

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAPs global strategic paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; its the foundation for a career built on connection creativity and impact.

Position title: SAP SuccessFactors iXp Intern Software Developer Learning

Location: Palo Alto California (Hybrid)

Expected start date to end date: June 1st 2026 August 15 2026

In this role youll:

• Design develop test and enhance software by understanding requirements implementing and testing features writing automated tests and resolving issues.

• Embrace lean and agile software development principles by participating in daily stand-ups sprint planning sprint reviews and retrospectives.

• Collaborate and innovate with Product Design and other engineering teams to deliver a seamless consistent and engaging product/experience for millions of users

• Gain experience working with Generative AI Foundation Models and LLMs

• Grow in leadership presentation and other soft skills.

What Youll Bring

Were looking for someone who takes initiative perseveres and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Candidates to be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or masters degree program in Computer Science or Engineering at an accredited institution

• Good understanding of algorithms data structures OOP design patterns and software design principles

• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages: Java Python JavaScript/TypeScript Go Groovy or Bash.

• Knowledge of backend services (REST APIs Microservices) and frontend frameworks (React Angular or Vue).

• Understanding of at least one relational database system such as SAP Hana Oracle SQL Server MySQL PostgreSQL or DB2

• DevOps mindset inherent sense of ownership through the development and deployment lifecycle

• Technologies/Tools/Architectures you could enjoy: Cloud development AI Microservices Continuous Delivery Spring Boot Spring Reactor Docker Kubernetes Swagger Hadoop

• Familiarity with UI technologies such as JavaScript HTML CSS

• Thrive in a fast-paced environment working with multiple teams across various geographies

• Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the highest quality of experience for our customers

• Extremely strong passion for technology and software craftsmanship
