Review job tickets to understand production specifications and press setup requirements.
Operate multi-color presses and produce first-piece approvals independently.
Ensure press runs meet production and quality standards in accordance with procedures.
Conduct in-process checks diagnose issues and make necessary adjustments.
Supervise and coordinate the work of backup press operators and press assistants.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on press equipment.
Assist with press tear-down screen cleaning and general press maintenance after production runs.
Follow all quality environmental and safety procedures and regulations.
Handle materials including moving five-gallon ink pails and large screens (up to 75 x 87).
Perform press support tasks such as racking printed materials and retrieving supplies.
Knowledge of proper safety housekeeping and personal protective equipment (PPE) practices.
Understanding of departmental procedures policies and work standards.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read interpret and follow job tickets.
Basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude.
Priormachineoperating experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with theEnterprise Resource Planning (ERP)system and data entry.
Familiarity withStatistical Process Control (SPC)techniques.
