Coastal NSW August 2026 Start
A fantastic opportunity is available for an Emergency Department SRMO to join a busy and supportive regional hospital commencing August 2026. Interviews are currently being scheduled and we are keen to speak with suitable doctors.
This district-level hospital provides a wide range of services including emergency medicine general medicine surgery obstetrics and mental health serving a rapidly growing coastal population.
The Emergency Department operates 24/7 managing a broad mix of acute presentations including trauma medical emergencies paediatric cases and mental health presentations offering excellent exposure for doctors wanting to develop strong emergency medicine skills.
You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team alongside experienced FACEMs registrars and nursing staff with strong senior supervision and opportunities to further develop procedural and clinical decision-making skills. The role provides excellent preparation for doctors planning to pursue ACEM training or further critical care experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assess stabilise and manage patients presenting to the Emergency Department
Perform clinical procedures including suturing plastering airway management and resuscitation
Work collaboratively with consultants registrars and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in a rotating roster including evenings nights and weekends
Maintain accurate documentation and clinical handover
Requirements
MBBS or equivalent qualification
AHPRA General Registration or supervision level 3
Minimum 23 years postgraduate clinical experience
Previous Emergency Department experience preferred
Strong communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to ongoing professional development
