Summer Extended Day Facilitator LOOP Program

Wage: Certified - $26/hour Non-Certified - $20/hour

Program Dates: June 15 2026 July 23 2026

Professional Development: June 9 2026 (8:00AM 3:00PM) June 11 2026 (8:00AM 11:00AM)

Open House: June 11 2026 (1:00pm 2:30pm and 4:30pm 6:00pm)

JOB SUMMARY

The Extended Day Program Facilitator provides on-site operational and compliance support for summer extended day programming at the school level. This position ensures smooth daily program operations by supporting scholar transitions monitoring attendance and maintaining required documentation aligned with district requirements and grant reporting expectations. By assuming responsibility for logistics compliance and communication the Program Facilitator enables instructional and activity staff to focus fully on high-quality scholar engagement and learning.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Supports daily scholar arrival dismissal and transitions to ensure a safe organized and consistent program flow while maintaining accurate attendance records required for grant reporting and compliance.
  • Collects organizes and submits required program documentation including attendance staffing schedules activity logs and incident reports in alignment with Office of Extended Learning procedures.
  • Serves as an on-site point of contact and supports communication between instructional staff site coordinators school administrators and OEL staff while also assisting with staff check-in and coverage during transitions and breaks.
  • Program Management Responsibilities:
    • Promote a safe inclusive and supportive learning environment aligned with GRPS Extended Learning program goals.
    • Ensure consistent implementation of Extended Day operational procedures across program days.
    • Support program quality by helping maintain organizational structures that allow instructional staff to focus on teaching and enrichment.
    • Assist with preparation for monitoring visits internal reviews or compliance checks by ensuring documentation is complete and accessible.
    • Collaborate with the Site Coordinator and Office of Extended Learning to identify and communicate operational needs or concerns.
    • Model professionalism and effective communication with scholars families staff and community partners.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of summer extended day programming.
  • Consistently demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year childcare or youth-related experience; or equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds ages and lifestyles.
  • Ability and desire to work with elementary and/or middle school children.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong collaborative and team-building skills; ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to coordinate volunteer and program-delivery efforts.
  • Human relations skills including the ability to work with a diverse group of scholars parents administrators teachers volunteers and community members.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of youth development (developmental assets).
  • Good computer skills including email word processing spreadsheet software etc.
  • Reliable transportation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to moderate. Work is performed indoors although the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is directly responsible for the safety wellbeing and work output of scholars.
