Summary

Oversees activities related to the purchase of material material control inventory control shipping/receiving and stores functions. Develops implements and maintains policies procedures and material control systems. Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing production and engineering. Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing materials. May prepare material requirement plans using enterprise resource planning systems. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system. May manage supply/demand and material reconciliation issues. Selects develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Job Description

Performs all required management responsibilities including but not limited to: implementing the companys policies programs and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources; knowing Varexs business; and maintaining functional technical and external market awareness necessary for managing immediate organization. May have responsibility to manage 3rd Party Logistics partners and global parts banks including budgetary responsibility for global parts banks. Establishes overall production schedules in conjunction with Marketing/Sales and procures receives and processes all material including interdivision to assure schedule integrity.
