Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol in Charlotte NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and concerns with calm professionalism. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors while documenting activity and escalating issues as needed. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or contractors by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies within a financial services location.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements post orders and Allied Universal policies.
- Respond to alarms incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report observations through required documentation and/or communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of lobbies offices parking areas and the perimeter monitoring for irregular activity and/or policy violations that may help to deter unwanted behavior.
- Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification directing foot and vehicle traffic and coordinating with site contacts and/or local authorities when needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have prior military and honorable DD214 discharge prior law enforcement or Criminal Justice degree for hiring consideration
- Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
