This position requires the selected candidate to reside in Michigan and work onsite at our Grand Rapids location three (3) days per week and remote two days per week.
Position Overview:
The Workday Systems Analyst serves as the primary technical expert responsible for the configuration optimization and ongoing management of the organizations Workday platform. This role supports multiple functional areas including Human Resources Payroll Benefits Finance and reporting by ensuring Workday is configured to meet operational compliance and strategic needs.
The Workday Systems Analyst partners with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions. This role is responsible for system configuration reporting development integrations and continuous improvement of Workday processes to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy across the organization.
All duties must be performed in accordance with organizational policies procedures Standards of Conduct and in alignment with the organizations mission and values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for the Workday platform across all deployed modules.
- Configure and maintain Workday business processes security roles workflows and system settings.
- Design develop and maintain Workday reports dashboards and analytics to support operational and leadership decision making.
- Evaluate current Workday system functionality and recommend enhancements that improve automation efficiency and user experience.
- Support and maintain Workday integrations with internal and external systems ensuring data accuracy and system stability.
- Partner with Human Resources Finance Payroll Benefits and IT teams to translate operational needs into Workday solutions.
- Lead system testing and validation for Workday updates releases and configuration changes.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Workday functionality reporting and integrations.
- Maintain documentation of Workday configurations business processes security roles and integrations to ensure compliance and operational continuity.
- Provide guidance and training to system users to support effective use of Workday functionality and reporting tools.
- Participate in Workday release review cycles and evaluate new functionality to determine potential organizational benefits.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workforce data reporting and operational workflows.
- Communicate system updates enhancements and changes to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support system optimization and organizational initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Workday configuration including business processes security roles calculated fields and reporting.
- Experience developing Workday reports dashboards and analytics tools.
- Understanding of Workday integrations including data feeds EIBs and connector frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret system data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and identify effective solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Human Resources Business Administration Finance or a related field preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience supporting or administering Workday systems.
- Experience configuring Workday modules such as Human Capital Management Payroll Benefits or Financial Management preferred.
- Experience developing Workday reports dashboards and analytics tools.
- Experience supporting system integrations and enterprise data management.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving system and operational needs.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent computer and telephone use requiring manual dexterity.
- Extended periods of sitting standing or walking.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; may require bending kneeling or squatting.
- Specific vision abilities including close distance and adjustable focus.
- Possible exposure to patients or clients with illnesses/infections.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on work environment.
