Job Description
As a Security Officer - Unarmed Rounds Driver in Bronx NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail mall location you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible respond to incidents and assist guests and tenants with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license supporting rapid presence across the property. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants shoppers and guests by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a retail and community center location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including contacting emergency services and/or notifying site management as required.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas entrances parking areas loading zones and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe for suspicious behavior policy violations and/or hazardous conditions escalating concerns through the appropriate reporting channels.
- Complete detailed reports of incidents observations and actions taken and communicate information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives per post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
