Ornua is a leading dairy co-operative which sells premium dairy products globally on behalf of its Member Co-operatives Irelands dairy processors and in turn Irish dairy farmers.
Ornua has revenues of 3.4 billion and is supported by a global team of approximately 2800 employees. The Group operates as a commercial organisation across 10 business units including 12 production facilities located in Europe North America the Middle East and Africa.
The commercial organisation is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornuas consumer brands including Irelands most successful food export: Kerrygold. Consumer markets are served by production facilities in Ireland Germany and the UK and by in-market Sales & Marketing Teams in Asia Germany Ireland MEA Poland Spain rest of Europe and North and Latin America.
It also manages the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers globally and the implementation of de-risking and trading strategies to manage market volatility. These activities are supported by production facilities and in-market teams in Europe North America the Middle East and Africa.
The Role
The IT Commercial / S&OP Application Specialist is responsiblesupporting theimplementation optimisation and ongoing support of commercial and planning applications supporting S&OP / IBPand Trade Promotion Managementprocesses. The role partners closely with Commercial Sales Supply Chain Finance and IT teams to ensure Demand & Supply Planning and Trade Promotion Management (TPM) solutions effectively support forecasting promotional planning and business decision-making.
This role has a strong focus onERPDemand & Supply Planning platforms andCommercialTPM solutions suchoperatingwithin FMCG and manufacturing environments.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Commercial S&OP & Planning Systems
- Lead and support the implementation configuration and enhancement ofDemand Planning Supply Planning and S&OP / IBPapplications
- Act as IT application ownerworking in partnership with business ownersfor commercial planning and TPM platforms
- Ensure planning solutions are integrated withERPto support end-to-end planning execution and financial alignment
- Translate business requirements into functional designs and system configurations
- Support scenario planning forecasting accuracy and supply-demand balancing processes
Trade Promotion Management (TPM)
- Supportthe implementation andoptimisation ofTPMsolutionsto enable promotion planning execution accruals and post-event analysis
- Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to ensureaccuratetrade spend forecasting control and ROI measurement
- Work alongside integration datateamsand business to ensure TPM data and processes are integrated with Demand Planning andInfor ERPfinancial and sales data
Business Engagement & Change
- Act as a trusted IT partner to Commercial Supply Chain and Finance stakeholders
- Engage inworkshops to define S&OP processes KPIs and system requirements
- Support business changeand initialuser adoption training and documentationwhere relevant. Address systems defects and enhancements where necessary
- Work in partnership with the business to driveimprovement in commercial planning and promotional effectiveness
Integration Data & Analytics
- Work with integration and data teams tomaintainrobust interfaces and data governancebetween Demand & Supply planning and commercial systems and ERP / other business systems and data platforms
- Enable performance reporting what-if analysis and scenario modelling
Delivery Governance & Support
- Manage application lifecycle activities including enhancements upgrades(enhancements) and vendor coordination
- Ensureappropriate governance controls and documentation are maintained
Key Skills / Attributes
Essential
- Proven experienceinimplementing/ supportingDemand & Supply PlanningandS&OP / IBPsolutions preferablyin FMCG or manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience withERP(Infor preferable but not mandatory) forcommercial supply chain or finance integration
- Experience implementing and supportingTPM solutions
- Strong understanding of end-to-end S&OP processes and commercial planning cycles
- Experience integrating planning and TPM tools with ERP platforms
- Strong business analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong communicator able to engage commercial supply chain finance and IT stakeholders
