This role reports to the Director of Production Planning and Logistics and follows relevant laws regulations and Johnson & Johnsons corporate guidelines.
Oversees production planning based on Production Scheduling Requests (PSRs).
Ensures operational efficiency communicates volume strategies and schedule changes to Business Unit Managers.
Prepares and manages the sites volume Business Plan leads Site Supply Review (SSR) and tracks weekly customer service.
Maintains inventory levels coordinates inventories approves purchase orders and ensures timely shipments.
Supports claims for damaged or lost cargo.
Develops programs to streamline purchasing planning warehousing and duplication.
Sets annual departmental goals aligned with organizational strategy prepares departmental budgets and manages material control policies.
Conducts performance evaluations recommends salary adjustments oversees hiring training and staff management.
Acts as liaison for purchasing supplies and equipment recommends capital expenditures approves changes to procedures facilities and equipment.
Upholds Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and supervises PP&L Department staff per organizational policy and law.
Conducts bi-annual cycle count audits complies with environmental and safety standards (ISO14001 OSHAS 18001).
Coordinates slowdown/shutdown activities across China sites and manages raw material purchasing.
Serves as primary office support for the department.
Collaborates with Engineering Quality Finance and Operations to achieve production targets; participates in site forums.
Qualifications:
Education: A minimum of a Bachelors degree and/or equivalent University degree is required; a focused degree in Engineering Materials Management or a related field is preferred. An advanced degree Masters is preferred.
Required:
Minimum eight (6) years of relevant professional experience.
Expertise in MPS/MRP capacity planning and S&OP/S&OE processes aligning demand forecasts inventory and manufacturing execution.
Leadership experience in managing production planning teams cross-functional collaboration and accountability.
Advanced ERP skills (e.g. SAP) with focus on master data planning parameters and process improvements.
Knowledge of FDA ISO 13485 and GMP requirements balancing compliance service and operational efficiency in medical device manufacturing.
