Job Summary
St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and School is seeking a caring and responsible Aftercare Aide to support students during the afterschool program. The Aftercare Aide helps provide a safe structured and nurturing environment that reflects Christian values while supervising students at the end of the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students during aftercare hours to ensure safety and wellbeing
- Assist with dismissal snacks homework time and structured play activities
- Maintain a positive respectful and inclusive environment
- Support appropriate student behavior using consistent expectations
- Communicate effectively with aftercare staff teachers and parents as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of aftercare spaces
- Follow all school policies procedures and safety guidelines
- Model respectful behavior and Christian values in all interactions
- Support the mission and values of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and School
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to supervise students indoors and outdoors
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable patient and flexible
- Practicing Catholic preferred; all candidates must support the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church
