Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine)

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Primary Care Physicians to provide onsite primary care services to eligible beneficiaries of the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center located at One Freedom Way Augusta GA 30904. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services to Veteran patients including:
  • Preventive care (immunizations cancer screening health maintenance)
  • Chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes hypertension COPD heart failure)
  • Evaluation and treatment of acute and urgent conditions
• Conduct mental health screenings (depression PTSD substance use) and initiate referrals as needed
• Serve as team lead within the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model
• Coordinate care with:
  • Specialists
  • Mental Health providers
  • Social Workers
  • Pharmacists
  • VA Community Care Network providers
• Manage:
  • Consults and referrals
  • Followup care
  • Inpatient admission reviews recommended by NPs/PAs (with required handoffs)
• Provide womens health care including traumainformed care
• Address geriatric and palliative care needs in collaboration with GEC and Palliative Care teams
• Deliver care via telehealth including video visits phone visits and secure messaging
• Follow VA medication policies (no sample medications)
• Document all care in the VA Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Complete E&M coding accurately and sameday
• Communicate test results to patients per VA policy
• Maintain compliance with VA clinical reminders and performance measures
• Report patient safety incidents within required timeframes
• Attend required meetings including:
  • Monthly Primary Care AllStaff meetings
  • Provider discussions as scheduled
• Participate in:
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Improvement (QA/QI)
  • OPPE and FPPE reviews
• Comply with all VA patient safety privacy and infection control standards

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (ABIM AOBIM accepted)
• Active full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State or Territory
• Active NPI report
• Active DEA license
• Maintain an active AHA BLS
• Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation
• No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:

• Sit stand walk lift squat bend twist and reach above shoulders during the work shift
• Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
• Lift up to 20 lbs
• Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
• Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
