Job Summary
Perry Local Schools is seeking a highly collaborative and student-centered Intervention Specialist with a focus on secondary mathematics to join our team. This educator will play a critical role in supporting students with disabilities while working alongside mathematics teachers to ensure all students have access to rigorous grade-level math successful candidate will work in a collaborative instructional model that includes co-teaching in core math courses targeted intervention and structured math support periods designed to strengthen foundational skills and improve student are looking for an educator who believes that every student can learn mathematics with the right support and This Role MattersSecondary mathematics success is one of the most important predictors of college career and life readiness. At Perry Local Schools we are strengthening our math support systems to ensure students receive both high-quality instruction and targeted intervention when they need role allows an Intervention Specialist to:Work directly with math teachers in core coursesDeliver meaningful math interventionHelp students build confidence and success in mathematicsSupport inclusive classrooms that allow students with disabilities to thrivePosition ResponsibilitiesSpecialized InstructionProvide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities in grades targeted mathematics intervention focusing on algebra readiness computation and problem students in developing both foundational math skills and access to grade-level -Teaching and Inclusive InstructionPartner with general education mathematics teachers in co-taught students during core math instruction through scaffolding guided practice and differentiated teachers in implementing accommodations and modifications aligned with Intervention SupportProvide small-group and individualized math intervention during structured support foundational skill gaps that impact success in Algebra and higher-level student progress and adjust intervention strategies based on Development and ComplianceDevelop implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Participate in Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs) IEP meetings and collaborative problem-solving compliance with IDEA and Ohio Department of Education -Driven InstructionUse student performance data to identify skill gaps and guide instructional student progress toward IEP with math teachers to support continuous improvement in student collaboratively with administrators teachers counselors and support to professional learning communities focused on student strong communication with parents and guardians.
