As a Software Development Engineer II you will contribute to the design development and evolution of microservices and web applications deployed in AWS working closely with product owners test engineers and DevOps teams.

You will apply strong computer science fundamentals cloudnative patterns and modern development practices to solve complex problems at scale.

This role requires proven handson experience with TestDriven Development (TDD) and SpecDriven Development (SDD) using clear specifications acceptance criteria and executable tests to drive design implementation and validation.

You will operate within a modern SDLC that incorporates AIassisted and agentic development approaches to improve delivery efficiency and quality while maintaining strong ownership of code quality correctness and longterm maintainability in an Agile Development Process Environment.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II who will:

• Build enhance and maintain microservices and web applications with a strong focus on reliability scalability performance and maintainability.
• Design and implement cloudnative services and architectures in AWS aligned with DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
• Apply TestDriven Development (TDD) as a core engineering practice ensuring strong unit and integration test coverage as part of the definition of done.
• Practice SpecDriven Development (SDD) by collaborating with product and QA on welldefined specifications acceptance criteria and testable requirements that guide development and validation.
• Leverage AIassisted and agentic development capabilities to support implementation refactoring and analysis while retaining full accountability for design decisions correctness and test quality.
• Write clean readable and maintainable code; participate actively in code reviews and contribute to shared engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with product QA and DevOps teams to deliver customerfocused solutions and continuously improve system quality and delivery speed.

Is this opportunity right for you We are looking for candidates who have:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Intermediate to fluent English proficiency in a professional business environment.
• 5 years of software development experience including 2 years building and deploying applications in AWS.
• Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript Angular and/or Python.
• Solid understanding of servicebased architecture RESTful APIs and scalable microservices design.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle PostgreSQL) required.
• Demonstrated handson experience with TestDriven Development (TDD).
• Proven experience working with specifications acceptance criteria or behaviordriven approaches as part of SpecDriven Development (SDD).
• Experience working within a modern SDLC that incorporates AIassisted software delivery with clear ownership of validation and outcomes.
• Experience working in Agile teams and collaborating across engineering product and QA disciplines.

Nice to Have

• Experience with scripting languages such as Shell Script Bash or Perl.
• Experience contributing to shared architectural testing or coding standards within a development team.
