  • Lead cross-functional continuous improvement projects from Define through Control using Lean Six Sigma methodology to deliver measurable business results (cost reduction quality throughput lead time).

  • Act as project owner or core team member for medium-to-large capital and process improvement projects: develop charters build schedules manage risks track budgets and report status.

  • Design and implement visual & digital factory solutions (Kanban visual metrics standardized workboards).

  • Execute & support site-wide deployment of 5S/6S and standard work.

  • Support shop floor layout and governance execution.

  • Use CAD tools to support process design line layouts tooling/fixture concepts and process simulations; create and revise technical drawings to support implementation.

  • Coach mentor and train employees and leaders on Lean Six Sigma tools problem solving (A3 PDCA) and change management to build internal capability.

  • Apply data analysis and root-cause investigation techniques to drive corrective actions and process control (DMAIC).

  • Lean Yellow Belt and A3 Root Cause Problem Solving trainer.

  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops (kaizen events rapid improvement events) and lead stakeholder alignment.

  • Define support and monitor KPIs (OEE cycle time first pass yield scrap throughput safety metrics); translate performance into action plans.

  • Execute deployment and continuous improvement of maintenance and reliability practices (TPM/RCM principles) and or Johnson and Johnson Production System (JJPS).

  • Document and sustain improvements through control plans training audits and governance rituals.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in continuous improvement Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or operations improvement; 7 years preferred for senior roles.

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred (or equivalent demonstrated experience).

  • Practical experience with Lean tools: 5S/6S visual management value stream mapping standard work kaizen events.

  • CAD experience (2D/3D) to create or modify layouts tooling and fixtures; experience with common CAD packages preferred (AutoCAD).

  • Strong project management experience including project charters schedules budgeting and stakeholder management.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel advanced PowerPoint Word Visio or equivalent).

  • Demonstrated experience in data-driven problem solving and statistical analysis.

  • Excellent communication facilitation and change management skills; ability to influence at all levels.

Preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification

  • Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES) ERP integration or process automation.

  • Experience in visual factory software or digital manufacturing tools.

  • Previous experience in the specific industry (medical devices consumer goods automotive aerospace etc.).

  • Experience with regulatory environments (e.g. ISO FDA) where applicable.

Performance measures / KPIs

  • Delivered cost savings / productivity improvements ($ or %).

  • Reduction in cycle time lead time or WIP.

  • Improvements in quality metrics (PPM first pass yield).

  • OEE improvement targets achieved.

  • Successful on-time delivery of projects and sustainment of implemented changes.

  • Capability uplift across teams (number of trained belts kaizen events executed).

Working conditions

  • Primarily on-site in a manufacturing/plant environment with occasional office work.

  • May require travel between facilities and occasional extended hours to support project or improvement rollout across multiple shifts.
