Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Austin TX you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will conduct routine armed patrols stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support store teams with clear communication and customer service. This post requires driving between areas of the property and a Level III Armed Certification Texas. You will document observations respond to calls for assistance and contribute to a caring integrity-driven team that is agile reliable and innovative.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to shoppers tenants and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a retail or mall location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout sales floors common areas receiving areas and exterior perimeters including parking lots and entrances to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances suspected theft trespassing and/or medical situations and coordinate with site leadership and public responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas observe for unusual conditions and complete detailed security-related reports and incident documentation according to Allied Universal and site requirements.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements training and post orders including maintaining weapon retention practices and promptly reporting any use of force or equipment issues.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 years combined law enforcement corrections and/or military experience or 5 years armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
