Our Client is seeking a Dental Implantologist / Dental Specialist to join its clinical team in Port Moresby Papua New Guinea.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive dental consultations and procedures including implantology restorative dentistry and general oral healthcare for both outpatient and emergency cases. The role also includes supporting dental services across the Hospital network and participating in clinical quality improvement initiatives.
Provide specialist consultation diagnosis and treatment for dental and oral health conditions.
Perform dental implant procedures restorative dentistry crowns bridges and dentures.
Deliver general dentistry services including preventive care and oral health screening.
Manage orofacial trauma cases and other dental emergencies when required.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records in line with hospital policies.
Supervise and support dental services across the Hospital network clinics and hospitals.
Participate in multidisciplinary clinical discussions and complex case reviews.
Assist with clinical education training and continued medical education programs.
Support community outreach and corporate medical projects when required.
Participate in hospital promotional activities seminars and health education programs.
Ensure compliance with infection control safety and hospital protocols.
Education
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from a recognized institution.
Certification
Fellowship or Diplomate certification in Implantology (e.g. ICOI ITI or equivalent) preferred.
License
Eligibility for Medical Board of Papua New Guinea (MBPNG) registration.
Experience
Minimum 35 years of clinical dental experience.
Proven experience in dental implantology and restorative dentistry.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making ability
Expertise in dental implants and restorative procedures
Excellent patient communication and consultation skills
High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
Commitment to patient safety and high-quality clinical care
Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary hospital teams
