Overview
Our client is a leading innovative energy company seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team on a 12-month contract basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 6-10 years of experience in financial analysis budgeting forecasting and performance reporting within a large complex corporate environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic financial decisions and operational planning.
This is an on-site position requiring a professional who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide actionable financial insights to drive business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifies analyzes and communicates to management the impact on the Companys financial structure profitability financial integrity and competitive position utilizing relevant analytical methods and/or departments forecasting models
- Provides financial analysis support for various projects calculating revenue requirements net present value customer bill impact etc.
- Provides expertise support and financial training for the company departments requiring these services
- Performs financial analyses as required by management or regulatory bodies
- Prepares PowerPoint presentations to be provided to Senior and Executive Management
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience: 6-10 years of progressive experience in financial analysis FP&A or a related field.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related quantitative field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g. CFA CPA) is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables complex formulas macros) and financial modeling. Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with a proven track record of translating data into actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
- Work Style: Must be a self-starter highly organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- This is an on-site position. Candidates must be able to work at the designated location.
