Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver

Location: Letchworth

Hours per week: 48hrs M/T/W/TH/F and Sat

Salary: 37489.92

Job Summary

To ensure the speedy efficient and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• To maintain a safe a competent standard of driving observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.

• To have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights brakes coolant etc.

• To report any faults breakdowns accidents or delays.

• To maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.

• To ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the days work.

• To maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.

• To check all orders shown on the drop sheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.

• To collect goods returned for credit mail delivery bins and their safe return to the branch at times instructed by the branch management.

• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.

• To always maintain a smart appearance.

• To help maintain good customer relations.

• To be involved in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by the Management.

• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Skills Knowledge and Experience required:

Essential

• A full driving license must be held relevant to the vehicle being driven

• Whilst we do not ask for a clean license we will assess the risk of employing applicants who have points on their license and this may affect our decision to shortlist

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent Customer care

• Intermediate Numeracy and Literacy

Desirable

• Previous experience of multi-drop delivery driving is highly desirable

• Route planning experience
