Responsibilities
The Piping Valve Specialist plays a critical role in advancing Eastmans commitment to safe cost-effective piping designs. This position ensures the integrity and efficiency of piping systems through engineering guidance and collaborative teamwork. Provide guidance on valve selection based on performance requirements and commercial availability. Maintain information systems related to the design and procurement of valves and operators. Perform root cause investigations for failures and quality deficiencies. Apply knowledge of piping inspection techniques to support design and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports and deliverables in accordance with departmental standards. Share industry advancements to elevate Eastmans piping engineering and design practices. Contribute to team growth through mentoring training and participation in peer reviews. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Support occasional travel and off-hours work as required.

Qualifications
10 years of process piping valve technology in an industrial setting. In-depth knowledge of ASME B31.3 piping code and best engineering practices. Familiar with valve scope of API standards such as API 600 602 and 603. Deep understanding of valve failure mechanisms and performance. Strong command of English with excellent technical writing and presentation skills. Highly organized collaborative and adept at managing multiple priorities. |
