Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro ICU
Location: New York NY 10016
Schedule: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:30 AM 3 12-hour shifts 34.5 hours per week
Compensation
Travelers: $80/hour
Local Candidates: $67/hour
Position Overview
A healthcare facility in New York NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Neuro ICU).
The ideal candidate will have strong critical care experience and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity ICU environment providing advanced patient care for neurological and critically ill patients.
Key Responsibilities
Provide critical care nursing support to patients in the Neuro ICU
Monitor and assess patient conditions including neurological status
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures
Assist with conscious sedation procedures
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition or emergencies
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care nursing experience
IV insertion and phlebotomy skills
Experience with conscious sedation
Active New York State RN License
Primary Source Verification of RN License (NYSED)
Certifications Required
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
