Job Summary
This role will provide diabetes education services for CentraCare Diabetes Center and Endocrinology clinic. Maintains professional competencies by attending educational programs participates in professional organizations subscribing to the reading professional journals or other appropriate activities.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors Degree BS BA in Nutrition/Dietetics/Nutrition Science. Upon Hire or
- Masters Degree Nutrition/Dietetics/Nutrition Science. Upon Hire
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years Minimum of successful clinical experience in specialty area and demonstrated competence in teaching orientation leadership and communication.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Registered Dietitian Registered Dietitian (registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration). 30 Days Required and
- Licensed Dietitian or Licensed Nutritionist by the State of MN. 30 Days Required
- National Certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator through National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators required within two years of employment. 2 Yrs Required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diabetes experience.
