About the role
As a Kitchen Steward you will support the kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness washing dishes and assisting with basic food preparation tasks. You will ensure the kitchen is well-stocked and organised contributing to a smooth and efficient operation. This role is essential for maintaining high hygiene standards and supporting chefs during busy periods. Specifically your role will involve:
- Operate dishwashers to ensure every item is sanitised correctly
- Clean and tidy the kitchen spaces around the hotel
- Keep storerooms clean and tidy at all times
- Ensure hygiene and health and safety standards are met at all times
- Oversee the smooth operation of the hotels loading bay including relocating deliveries and waste disposal bins while following safe manual handling practices
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure everything we do provides excellent service to our guests
What are we looking for
- Previous experience handling and working with chemicals
- Confident communication skills and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
- The flexibility and availability to work weekends on a rotating roster
- A professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work autonomously
