About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 with potential opportunities to teach a specialism at Key Stage 5. You will deliver lessons that combine theory with practical investigation.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and possibly Key Stage 5)
Planning and delivering engaging lessons with practical experiments
Supporting pupils in developing scientific knowledge and enquiry skills
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress
Preparing pupils for GCSE and/or A-Level examinations
Contributing to curriculum development within the department
Supporting extracurricular science activities and enrichment opportunities
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
Have strong subject knowledge in Biology Chemistry or Physics
Be confident delivering both practical and theoretical lessons
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be passionate about science education and pupil achievement
Work effectively within a collaborative department
