The Role
The successful candidate will:
Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based Drama lessons
Inspire students to develop confidence creativity and performance skills
Support students of all abilities through inclusive and differentiated teaching
Prepare students for GCSE Drama performances and written assessments
Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
Lead or support extracurricular activities such as school productions drama clubs or performances
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school including form tutoring
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who:
Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a degree in Drama Performing Arts or a related subject
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Drama
Is eager to develop their teaching practice as an Early Career Teacher
Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
Is reflective creative and committed to ongoing professional development
Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
