A private family in Smithtown NY is seeking a highly professional discreet and service-oriented Live-In Butler / Household Manager to oversee the daily operations of their home. The ideal candidate will be proactive organized and adaptable with a strong ability to anticipate needs and ensure the household runs seamlessly.

This role requires someone who is comfortable in the kitchen and able to prepare simple healthy meals and follow recipes. The family is looking to hire as soon as possible and the position offers private live-in accommodations in a separate guest house.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the household
• Serve as the primary point of contact and trusted go-to person for the family
• Provide family support including driving three children to and from school and activities
• Prepare simple home-style meals and confidently follow recipes
• Assist with meal planning grocery shopping and maintaining an organized kitchen
• Run errands and manage household inventory and supplies
• Coordinate and oversee vendors service providers and home maintenance
• Maintain the home in a clean organized and guest-ready condition
• Assist with entertaining and hosting as needed
• Work collaboratively with a part-time housekeeper (23 days per week)
• Uphold the highest level of discretion professionalism and confidentiality

Ideal Candidate

• Experienced in a similar role within a private household (Butler Household Manager or equivalent)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Warm polished and service-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Comfortable in the kitchen with the ability to cook simple meals and follow recipes
• Proactive and able to anticipate needs and take initiative
• Flexible adaptable and able to manage changing priorities with ease
• Trustworthy discreet and committed to maintaining confidentiality

Requirements

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Prior experience in a private home required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder)
• Must be open to a live-in arrangement
• Available to start ASAP
