We have an exciting new opening for anInverter System Engineer. Youll be given the opportunity to develop the next generation of products and technologies for the automotive industry.
As an individual contributor in the Electrification Center of Excellence (eCOE) and responding to the System Engineering Manager theInverter System Engineer drives the following activities:
- Support the development and execution of System processes in accordance with relevant automotive standards (ASPICE ISO 26262 ISO21434)
- Be the technical point of contact to the customer and customer teams responsible for communication on technical topics.
- Take ownership of specified system functions or competencies and drive the development across the system lifecycle.
- Elicit and analyze Stakeholder Requirements.
- Author System requirements for our E-Axle/Inverterproducts that satisfy Stakeholder requirements.
- Support system designs and drive design decisions related to traction inverters
- Support Work with the Functional Safety Team to develop System level work products according to ISO 26262 for the E-Axle products.
- Support the analysis of System working with the Quality Functional Safety and Design teams (FMEAs FTAs Freedom from Interference Dependent Failure Analysis)
- Support the development of integration and validation plans.
- Author User Guides for our products to provide to internal and external customers.
- Manage technical issues and coordinate through definition of problem statement root cause analysis and solution implementation with customer and all cross functional teams
- Participate in supplier panel selection supplier development and collaborate on supplier strategies.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in systems engineering which includes hardware and software development.
- 5 years of experience in E-Powertrain/E-Axle product development
- Product launch experience
- Understanding of embedded controls
- Experience with in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN CAN-FD LIN FlexRay Ethernet)
- Prior experience with requirements management
Ability to work in a team environment and negotiate solutions with hardware/software/mechanical and systems engineering
- Understanding of project management
- Strong communication and presentation skillsin English & Chinese
Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel domestically and to work in a global virtual team environment.
- Experience with high-speed motors and/or powertrain applications.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering.
Understanding of Automotive standards is preferred
- ISO 26262 Functional safety
- LV-123 / VDA-320 Automotive high voltage / 48V
- ISO 16750 / LV-124 Electrical component validation
Education:
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering with an emphasis on power electronics motor controls embedded SW or electro-magnetics
