Overhead Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager
Denver CO

A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking an Overhead Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of high-voltage transmission line projects. This role combines technical leadership and project management overseeing multidisciplinary engineering teams while ensuring projects are delivered on schedule within budget and to high quality standards. Strong PLS-CADD expertise is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering teams on overhead transmission line projects (69kV and above)
Manage engineering scope schedules budgets and deliverables across multiple projects
Serve as the technical lead for PLS-CADD modeling line routing and transmission design
Perform and review structural loading framing and foundation design calculations
Coordinate engineering activities across disciplines including permitting procurement and construction support
Interface with utility clients support proposals and assist with business development efforts
Mentor engineers and provide guidance on transmission design tools and best practices including PLS-CADD

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil Structural Electrical Mechanical or related)
8 12 years of overhead transmission line design experience at 69kV
Advanced PLS-CADD experience required
Strong background in structural aspects of transmission design (foundations framing materials)
Experience with transmission structures including steel wood laminate composite; lattice towers a plus
Experience supporting EPC or engineering consulting projects for utility clients preferred
PE license strongly preferred
