Structured Finance Career Associate
About the Role:
As a Structured Finance Career Associate you will work alongside experienced partners and attorneys on complex structured finance transactions. The role offers meaningful exposure to high-value deals while providing a sustainable career path for attorneys who want to focus on excellent legal work and client service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the structuring negotiation and execution of structured finance transactions
- Drafting and reviewing transaction documents and related financing materials
- Advising clients on securitization structures and regulatory considerations
- Working closely with financial institutions issuers and investors
- Managing multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality legal solutions
You will gain experience across a wide range of structured finance products including:
- Residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS)
- Commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS)
- Asset-backed securities (ABS) including esoteric ABS
- Collateralized loan obligations (CLOs)
- Repackagings and re-securitizations
- Other complex structured financings
Career Associate Program:
The firms Career Associate program offers an alternative to the traditional partner track while still allowing attorneys to engage in high-level cutting-edge legal work.
Lawyers join the program at different stages of their careers-from recent graduates to experienced attorneys transitioning from other practice settings. Requirements:
- 4 7 years of relevant structured finance or transactional law firm experience
- Admission to the Bar in a U.S. State
- Ability to satisfy the Bar membership requirements for the office location
- Strong drafting analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
- Highly motivated with excellent client service and collaboration skills
The role is primarily based in New York or Los Angeles although other locations may be considered.
