Structured Finance Career Associate

About the Role:

As a Structured Finance Career Associate you will work alongside experienced partners and attorneys on complex structured finance transactions. The role offers meaningful exposure to high-value deals while providing a sustainable career path for attorneys who want to focus on excellent legal work and client service.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the structuring negotiation and execution of structured finance transactions
Drafting and reviewing transaction documents and related financing materials
Advising clients on securitization structures and regulatory considerations
Working closely with financial institutions issuers and investors
Managing multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality legal solutions

You will gain experience across a wide range of structured finance products including:

Residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS)
Commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS)
Asset-backed securities (ABS) including esoteric ABS
Collateralized loan obligations (CLOs)
Repackagings and re-securitizations
Other complex structured financings

Requirements:

4 7 years of relevant structured finance or transactional law firm experience
Admission to the Bar in a U.S. State
Ability to satisfy the Bar membership requirements for the office location
Strong drafting analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines simultaneously
Highly motivated with excellent client service and collaboration skills

The role is primarily based in New York or Los Angeles although other locations may be considered.
