Tocultivate a dynamic student-centered learning environment that promotes literacy curiosity and a lifelong love of reading.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Holds bachelors degree and required Kentucky Department of Education certification for assigned position.
2. Proven ability to work effectively with students.
3. Proven ability to communicate effectively with students parents and faculty.
REPORTS TO: Principal
SUPERVISES: Students and Instructional/General Aides as assigned.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support all students and staff by providing access to diverse developmentally appropriate print and digital resources that enhance classroom instruction and foster independent learning.
Help students develop critical thinking digital citizenship and information-literacy skills through engaging read-alouds research lessons technology integration and collaborative planning with teachers.
Managethe day-to-day operations of the librarysuch as collection development cataloging and circulation
Create a welcoming space where every child can explore imagine and grow.
Lead the staffin building a culture of literacy across the school community by coordinating reading initiatives facilitating enrichment programs and ensuring equitable access to learning tools and technologies.
Support the schools mission by empowering students to become confident readers responsible digital citizens and enthusiastic lifelong learners.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
197-day employee with salary determined by the adopted teachers salary schedule of the Paducah Public Schools Board of Education.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Certified Personnel.
