Purpose:
Contribute to the successful achievement of the Belgrade School District mission and major system priorities by supporting the effective organization and operations of the school environment to optimize student learning instructional programs and related activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Education Administration or a related field is required along with previous leadership experience in a school setting.
- Current Montana Educator License.
Essential Job Duties:
- Promotes high-quality teaching and learning across the school.
- Supports implementation and monitoring of the school improvement plan.
- Analyzes student achievement data to inform instructional decisions and improve outcomes.
- Supports teachers in improving instruction practices and student engagement.
- Monitors curriculum implementation aligned with state and district standards.
- Promotes effective instructional strategies and differentiation to meet diverse student needs.
- Supports collaborative professional learning communities and teacher teams.
- Cultivates a positive safe and inviting learning environment.
- Promotes high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
- Addresses student discipline in a fair and consistent manner.
- Implements restorative practices and positive behavioral supports when appropriate.
- Supports student wellness and well-being initiatives.
- Ensures systems are in place to support the academic and personal success of all students.
- Supports student intervention systems and academic support programs.
- Participates in meetings related to student services such as IEP 504 MTSS and intervention teams.
- Monitors attendance student progress and graduation requirements.
- Supports the recruitment supervision development and evaluation of school personnel.
- Provides coaching and feedback to staff to support instructional improvement.
- Supports professional learning opportunities aligned with school goals.
- Assist with the effective and efficient operation of the school.
- Supports development of the master schedule and coordination of testing programs.
- Supervises student activities school events and campus supervision areas.
- Supports school safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Maintains positive relationships with families and community partners to support student success.
- Models professionalism in appearance respect understanding sensitivity and demeanor.
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Competencies
- Demonstrate leadership ability and general knowledge of issues and problems in the aspects of the school.
- Knowledge of current teaching methods philosophy and educational pedagogy.
- Knowledge of current curriculum and concepts.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state law codes policies procedures
- and regulations regarding education and students.
- Knowledge and skill in conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of general budget and school budget/accounting procedures.
- Knowledge of the concepts of management and supervision.
- Knowledge of safety practice and procedures.
- Skill in preparing and maintaining accurate records using computer network systems and pertinent software applications and administering personnel policies.
- Skill in planning and managing projects.
- Ability to be flexible to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups work with a variety of data and utilize specific job-related equipment.
- Ability to set priorities work as part of a team and work with and mange frequent interruptions.
- Ability to problem solve to analyze issues and create action plans.
- Ability to adjust daily work plans and work hours to be highly responsive to school needs.
