Job Summary
Mater Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton. This is a permanent fulltime opportunity based at our Rockhampton City hospital.
Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15900access to many staff benefits!
What youll be doing
As General Manager you will play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational leadership of Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton. You will be accountable for delivering safe highquality care meeting clinical and operational performance targets and strengthening relationships within the local community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading with integrity and a strong commitment to valuesbased leadership
- Driving organisational change growth and service excellence
- Providing handson solutionsfocused operational leadership
- Leveraging deep knowledge of the private health system at both state and national levels
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with key customers and community stakeholders
- Leading strategic and clinical service planning
- Overseeing overall operational performance governance policy compliance and reporting
- Managing budgets resources risk and workplace health and safety
- Using business and operational data to guide improvement and decisionmaking
- Promoting staff wellbeing professional development and retention
- Supporting performance management and ensuring adherence to Maters code of conduct
About you
You will bring tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in business finance healthcare management or a related discipline along with:
- Clinical qualifications and experience leading in a clinical environment (highly desirable)
- Significant leadership experience within private acute hospital settings
- A deep understanding of Maters identity and a genuine commitment to living our Mission Vision and Values
