The job holder will serve as a leader within the Compliance Function acting as a second line of defense to oversee the Product Sale & Distribution Compliance Risk (PSD) within the organization. The key responsibilities include:
Assuming overall responsibility for the Product Sale & Distribution Compliance team.
Acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Product and Sale Conduct including distribution compliance and ensuring fair treatment of customers throughout their entire lifecycle.
Managing and supervising regulatory/compliance obligations with a focus on establishing controls and processes to maintain Product Sale & Distribution compliance.
Developing and executing a compliance monitoring and testing program to provide continuous assessment of PSD risk control effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert counsels to Process Owners to issue internal rules policies & standards for PSD risk management.
Work with 1LOD to identify monitor and report the PSD risk that may arise to Chief Compliance Officer or Executive Management team.
Develop and conduct the risk assessment models tools control testing to early warn of any identify risks and propose the control measure mitigation approach.
Carry out the annual or unscheduled compliance check the compliance with the provision of law internal rules and regulation and the professional ethic standards of sale forces and sale department.
Oversight the implementation of controls (QA sample testing mystery shopping) by 1LOD and advise on the mitigation actions.
Ensure that the customer complaints (from various sources) relating to agent sale misconduct are properly and timely assessed to provide the fair feedback to customer and for appropriate disciplinary action imposed to the violation agents.
Ensure that the sale misconduct & distribution fraud investigation are conducted including progression of activities or steps moving from evidence gathering tasks data/information analysis to theory development and validation to forming reasonable ground to believe to interview directly the related parties and finally to enforce ethic code timely.
Ensure the disciplinary guideline are implemented properly.
Develop and implement the process to monitor that salesperson (*) are licensed in accordance with regulatory requirement and/or MVL rule before conducting their sale process include oversight the completion of mandatory training by sale persons.
Ensure the company business code of ethic the industry code of ethic is embedded in training program to salespeople and that the salespeople completed the training and committed to comply with the ethical standards.
Review the design implementation and documentation of the product to ensure the regulatory compliance.
Review the sale & marketing documents to ensure the regulatory compliance.
Review appropriateness of sale compensation structure etc. ensure that no Salespeople are incentivized based on compensation and incentive programs that favor certain products or features over the interests of clients.
Conduct TPDD on the sale partners as company requirements
Provide input to the quarterly annual and ad hoc Compliance reports for submission to General Director Regional Compliance or Authorities.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Law Business or Finance from an accredited university required.
A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in the insurance or financial services industry or within regulatory bodies in Compliance/Legal roles is essential.
Applicants should have a thorough understanding of the financial services industry including related legislation regulatory bodies (such as ISA and MOF) and widely recognized industry practices and professional standards particularly in Product Sales and Distribution Compliance.
Experience with insurance products is necessary.
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and work as part of a team.
The ability to work under pressure and make sound Compliance judgments is crucial.
