Job Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning executing and managing capital and continuous improvement projects to achieve operational excellence at Fiji Water. The role ensures that engineering solutions equipment installations and infrastructure upgrades meet business requirements regulatory standards and sustainability goals. This role has progression path into Senior Project Engineer role with proven and successful delivery of projects and embodiment of Fiji Water culture values and way of work.

  • Develops business case and ensures project objectives are aligned to business goals.
  • Lead projects from concept initiation to commissioning ensuring delivery in full on time within budget to specifications.
  • Prepares project scope schedule cost estimates and resource plan and tracks project budget forecast costs report variances and manage/control change requests.
  • Ensures project activities adhere to project management governance framework.
  • Provide engineering expertise and technical advice to operations and reliability to support improvement efforts across the plant and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Develop engineering drawings specifications P&IDs and as built drawings.
  • Manage contractors consultants and suppliers to ensure compliance with Fiji Water standards and safety requirements and collaborates with internal stakeholders.
  • Apply value engineering principles to optimize project designs ensuring best value of money performance sustainability and reliability.
  • Develops project plans and coordinates plant shutdown and installation activities with operations and reliability teams.
  • Incorporates safety and quality requirements throughout project life cycle.

Qualifications :

Minimum

  • Bachelors degree in engineering / engineering technology - electrical/electronic or mechanical/manufacturing.
  • Project engineering experience of 3 to 5 years.
  • Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly developed project management skills

Preferred

  • Manufacturing background especially in bottling environment and utilities.
  • Lean Operations/ Continuous Improvement knowledge and
