The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that develop mathematical reasoning problem-solving and analytical skills

• Inspire students to develop confidence and curiosity in mathematics

• Plan lessons that effectively support challenge and stretch learners of all abilities

• Monitor student progress carefully and provide clear and constructive feedback

• Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations and assessments

• Contribute to the continued development of the Mathematics curriculum and departmental resources

• Support enrichment opportunities such as Maths clubs competitions or STEM activities

• Play a full role in the pastoral life of the school including form tutoring where required

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a teacher who:

• Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Has a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject

• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective teaching practice

• Is able to inspire enthusiasm and confidence in mathematics

• Maintains high expectations for both academic achievement and behaviour

• Is reflective and committed to ongoing professional development

• Works positively as part of a collaborative and supportive teaching team
