What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a government location including access control and visitor processing.
• Screen people and authorized items entering the facility using screening protocols and equipment such as walk-through detectors hand wands and/or X-ray systems and escalate prohibited items per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including coordinating with onsite personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas entrances and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns for reporting.
• Complete required logs and reports document screening results and incidents and communicate key information to Allied Universal leadership and onsite partners.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A state county or city issued security license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
