PATIENT FLOW CO-ORDINATOR - CNMIII

Bon Secours Hospital Cork is part of the Bon Secours Health System which is the largest independent hospital group in Ireland with over 2500 staff including 350 leading consultants. We treat more than 200000 patients annually. We are now inviting applications for the above posts from suitably qualified and experienced candidates.

The successful applicant will be required to enhance and maintain the highest standards in patient care at all times. You will be required to contribute to the effective use of all hospital resources at your disposal and you will be required to maximise staff development in a learning environment. This will include support motivation and guidance for all employees within your remit.

Candidate Requirements:

• Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI
• A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in an acute general.
• A minimum of 2 years management experience is essential.
• A proven track record in Nursing Management at a senior level.
• Preceptorship/teaching and assessing of students is also essential
• Completed a management course and/ other relevant post registration courses.
• Experience in the implementation of service improvement and development.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to problem solve and use their initiative.
• The ability to negotiate and resolve difficult clinical operational and interpersonal situations.
• Experience the management of effective utilisation of bed capacity and staff management.
• Possess extensive knowledge/experience of the principles and practices of Nurse Management.
• Demonstrate specific knowledge of Quality Framework Health Services in Ireland and to have experience in Accreditation processes.
• Role involves rotation from days to nights/shift work.
