Job Description
As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Coordinator in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff and visitors with courteous customer service clear communication and timely reporting of concerns. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and/or members of the public at a government location by following security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents alarms and/or requests for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner documenting actions taken according to post orders.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas entrances corridors stairwells parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points by observing pedestrian and vehicle traffic verifying identification and/or visitor purpose when required and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
- Complete routine reports and incident logs communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision and support basic crowd control during higher-traffic periods.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
