Job Skills / Requirements

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for supporting and promoting

a safe compliant and environmentally responsible workplace. This role ensures adherence to

federal state local and organizational safety regulations and standards including OSHA EPA and

other applicable regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety & Compliance

Implement monitor and enforce environmental health and safety programs

Ensure compliance with OSHA EPA state and local regulations

Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments

Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical inventories

Assist with regulatory audits and inspections

Training & Education

Conduct safety orientations and ongoing training

Maintain training records and certifications

Promote safety awareness programs

Incident Management

Investigate accidents injuries and near misses

Complete incident reports and root cause analyses

Track corrective actions and workers compensation documentation

Environmental Programs

Oversee hazardous materials handling and waste disposal

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations

Support spill prevention and sustainability initiatives

Emergency Preparedness

Assist with emergency response planning and drills

Coordinate evacuation and disaster preparedness activities

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain safety records and logs

Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership

Education Requirements (All)

Diploma/GED
