Position Description: We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about coding and developing scalable and high-performance applications. You will work closely with our developers designers and other members of the team to deliver quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Must-have :
Experience Required: 6 years

Nice to have: Python/Pyspark Banking domain
ETL development within a Data DataStage ETL and SQL AWS and Azure preferably Snowflake. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional

Key Responsibilities:
ETL Design and Development:
Design develop and maintain ETL processes (Extract Transform Load) for extracting data from various sources transforming it and loading it into target systems (e.g. data warehouses databases).
Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and create ETL workflows that meet business needs.
Develop reusable and optimized ETL pipelines to support data integration across multiple platforms.
Data Transformation & Cleansing:
Perform data transformation tasks to ensure data is accurate consistent and ready for analysis.
Apply business logic rules and validations during data transformations to meet required data quality standards.
Cleanse and enrich data to improve its quality and reliability for business analysis.
Data Integration:
Integrate data from various sources including relational databases flat files APIs and third-party systems into a centralized data warehouse.
Develop and implement data integration solutions that support complex data workflows across multiple systems.
Performance Tuning & Optimization:
Optimize ETL workflows to ensure efficient data processing and minimize runtime.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to ETL pipelines.
Monitor ETL processes and ensure that data loads are completed in a timely manner without errors.
Database & Data Warehouse Management:
Work with database administrators (DBAs) to manage and optimize data warehouses and data marts.
Create and maintain database schemas tables and views to support ETL workflows and reporting requirements.
Ensure proper indexing partitioning and data storage strategies to support large volumes of data.
Collaboration & Documentation:
Collaborate with business analysts data scientists and other technical teams to understand data needs and ensure data availability for reporting and analysis.
Document ETL processes data flow and architecture for internal reference and compliance purposes.
Provide training and support to other team members regarding ETL best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Data Quality Assurance:
Implement data validation techniques to ensure the completeness accuracy and integrity of the transformed data.
Develop automated testing frameworks for ETL processes to detect data issues early in the pipeline.
Reporting & Analytics Support:
Work with BI developers and data analysts to support the creation of data models dashboards and reporting solutions.
Assist in data extraction and transformation to support ad-hoc analysis and business intelligence needs.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
3 years of experience as an ETL Developer or similar data-related roles.
Strong experience with ETL tools such as Informatica Talend SSIS Apache NiFi Pentaho or similar platforms.
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases such as MySQL PostgreSQL SQL Server or Oracle.
Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g. Kimball Inmon).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell scripting) to automate ETL tasks.
Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture principles.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop Spark or Kafka.
Familiarity with data lakes and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of data governance and best practices for data management.
Experience with DevOps practices for ETL pipeline automation and deployment.
Familiarity with agile methodologies for project delivery.
