Job Summary

Job Description:

A driver isresponsible for safely transporting passengers or goods maintaining vehicle cleanliness and mechanical soundness and adhering to traffic regulations. Key duties include planning routes using GPS loading/unloading cargo delivering items promptly and maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel. A valid license clean record and punctuality are essential.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Safe Transportation:Transport passengers clients or goods to destinations efficiently and safely.
Vehicle Maintenance:Perform daily inspections (tires brakes oil fuel lights) and ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.
Route Planning:Utilize GPS navigation apps and knowledge of local areas to determine the most efficient routes and avoid delays.
Administrative Tasks:Maintain accurate logs (mileage deliveries fuel consumption) and handle paperwork.
Safety Compliance:Adhere strictly to traffic laws road signs and safety regulations.
Customer Service:Act professionally especially when dealing with clients staff or guests.

Required Qualifications & Skills

License:Valid drivers license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g. non-CDL or CDL).
Experience:Proven experience as a driver often at least 1-2 years.
Record:A clean driving record (no or minimal violations).
Knowledge:Strong understanding of traffic laws road safety regulations and city geography.
Physical Ability:Ability to lift heavy packages or luggage (often up to 70 lbs).
Skills:Strong communication time management and navigation skills.

Common Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Flexibility to work in shifts including nights and weekends.
Ability to perform minor repairs or maintenance.
