JOIN A DYNAMIC FIRM AND SHAPE AI PRODUCT STRATEGY

Five Elms is building a technical product strategy capability to help our 45 B2B SaaS portfolio companies evolve their products from traditional systems of record into AI-native platforms. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy architecture and portfolio value creation. You will help leaders clarify where AI actually creates defensible value prioritize the right opportunities and move decisively from concept to implementation.

YOU WILL HAVE A BROAD SET OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive Product Strategy. Work with portfolio leaders to identify the highest-impact strategic opportunities. Translate complexity into clear priorities and next steps teams can execute immediately.

Facilitate Diagnostic Sprints. Work directly with a portfolio company to review product roadmaps customer feedback architectures and automation.

Turn Insights into Action. Help teams translate insights into real product decisions and execution plans. Bring structure and urgency needed to move ideas into motion.

Build the Playbook. See patterns across companies to refine frameworks recommendations and the firms approach to AI product strategy and value creation.

Educate and Enable. Stay ahead of tools news and competitive risks and distill them into practical and digestible insights to drive adoption.

IS FIVE ELMS RIGHT FOR YOU

You combine structured thinking with a bias for action. Youre comfortable operating in ambiguity but you dont stay there long helping teams move toward clarity and decisions.

• 58 years of product management business strategy or consultingexperience in SaaS

• Deep curiosity about AI with practical judgment. You stay current on rapidly evolving tools and applications distinguishing between real opportunities and hype.

• Strong listening skills and the ability to quickly understand complex products.

• Executive presence and confidence facilitating discussions with senior leaders.

• Strong project management and hands-on execution instincts.

• Consulting or multi-company advisory experience is a plus but not required.

• Flexible to travel for portfolio meetings.

• Must be in Kansas City or want to relocate to KC.
