Job Summary
St. Mary of Sorrows Preschool a stand alone Catholic parish preschool with 2 ½ to 5 year old students in the Diocese of Arlington located in Fairfax VA seeks an energetic warm and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The Part Time Lead Teacher is responsible for the supervision management and care of a class of young person will provide a loving nurturing safe stimulating Catholic environment that promotes the social emotional physical and cognitive development of each Preschool Lead Teacher cultivates an atmosphere that fills our students day by creating experiences allowing children to immerse themselves fully in play and fostering the childs sense of wonder. Through play singing movement handwork arts storytelling and more you not only enrich the childrens social-emotional life but also provide a strong foundation for academics.
Candidates must be a practicing Catholic in good standing. Candidates must hold a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education by an accredited university or in another academic field and have a CDA or equivalent with a minimum of five years teaching experience.
